Sydney.

I think the best way to explore Sydney would be to fly in, stay in a city hotel and explore the city using buses, trains and ferries......negotiating a caravan around the city, not knowing where you are going, is pretty daunting. The last time we visited the Sydney harbour area was about 20 years ago before we finally moved to Perth.
As we approached Sydney from the south coast Chris developed a serious migraine. I am sure it was the stress of negotiating traffic and motorways. We had to stop. Once he had recovered we managed to arrive at our destination - a park outside of Sydney. From there we were able to do some exploring after a good night's sleep.
We caught the bus, right outside our caravan park, into Sydney. I felt as if I was in a propelled rocket as the bus driver tore down the motorway for one, whole hour! To add to the bus experience a fellow passenger opened a window as it was so hot on the bus and it blew my hair as if I was in an open air propelled rocket! The driver couldn't speak a word of English either. (Being in Sydney is like being in a foreign country.) Wonderful!!
It cost us, grey nomads, $2.50 each for a whole day of using buses, ferries and light rail! Felicity and Brian met us for one last day together. They spent the whole day showing us all the sights - the harbour, the bays, buildings, the bridge, the opera house, Darling Habour, views and more views. Sydney Harbour is definitely the most precious jewel in the crown on a bright, sunny day!
We had a perfect day ending with sharing a meal at Brian and Felicity's home in Lilyfield. They then drove us back to our house on wheels up the motorway at a far more respectable speed. We were sad to say goodbye but will meet again next year up the north-west coast....if all goes to plan.
Meeting for one last time this trip.
