Kangaroo Valley

The first morning we woke up in Kangaroo Valley we were surrounded by mist.

A lookout on the way to Kangaroo Valley.
We had been told by a number of people not to miss Kangaroo Valley. To get to the tiny village and caravan park there were some very steep ascents and descents. We just managed to catch a sign that warned us that the road we were about to take was not suitable for caravans! Luckily we found a suitable place to turn and take a more suitable road. Many roads around the area are exceptionally narrow and have severe blind corners. At times, driving was pretty hair-raising!
Windy, forested roads.
Besides the hazardous roads, everywhere you stop and look, beautiful views and sights abound.
It's a beautiful part of Australia to visit. We have felt so happy and peaceful here. We will have stayed almost a week.
Chris examining the cathodic protection on the bridge.
"Hampden Bridge" - the oldest, suspension bridge in Australia.

When I opened this fridge it was filled with a commercial production of fudge - not little bags of hand made fudge like I make for the family at Christmas time. A bit disappointing!

An inviting driveway into someone's gorgeous property. It was called "Luvally".

The Fitzroy Falls.

Twin Falls.

Views into the Great Dividing Range.

Happy campers.

"Where art thou, Platypus?"

The life cycle of the platypus, NSW style.

Wombats everywhere. So many killed on the road.

The community fitness centre in Kangaroo Valley. Note the hills around.

Kangaroo Valley Police Station.

Another old building - Kangaroo Valley House.

I couldn't resist popping in here. All tiny villages have an interesting gallery.

A glamping moment. Felicity and Brian's 43rd wedding anniversary. I made the scones that we had with jam and cream. Gluten free of course!
